Tyson Foods has announced a chicken nugget recall of approximately 30,000 pounds of their frozen, fully cooked chicken “Fun Nuggets” due to potential metal contamination. Specifically, the “Fun Nuggets” sold in 29-ounce bags with a Best If Used By date of SEP 04, 2024, are affected.
The product was produced at one location on September 5, 2023. Impacted products bear the product codes 2483BRV02 07, 2483BRV02 08, 2483BRV02 09, or 2483BRV02 10, establishment code P7211, with a best if used by date of September 4, 2024. Product cases may be identified by code 048153-6910, 10000048153.
These items were distributed and available for sale in Alabama, California, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wisconsin. Consumers can identify the recalled nuggets by the establishment number “P-7211” on the package’s rear.

The Food Safety and Inspection Service advises caution as some recalled items might still be stored in consumers’ freezers. It is recommended to either dispose of them or return them to the store where they were purchased.
